Sasquatch! Music Festival 2009 Line Up
Submitted by eggs on Tue, 02/17/2009 - 10:57.The Sasquatch! Music Festival – which is set to take place Memorial Day Weekend, May 23-25, at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, WA – has released its official 2009 lineup. Now in its eighth year, Sasquatch! has come out swinging with an out-of-this-world artist roster to match the unbelievably beautiful venue where it takes place. A reunited Jane's Addiction, featuring all four original members, leads the list of names, while Kings of Leon, Nine Inch Nails and Ben Harper & the Relentless7 fill out the headliner spots. The world of indie rock is well represented in the under card with bands like TV on the Radio, Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver and of Montreal standing out above the rest. An array of talented comedians will also be featured throughout the three-day event, including the ever-dry Zach Galifianakis, new Comedy Central star Demetri Martin, and the odd-ball duo Tim & Eric, among several others.

Virgin Mobile Festival (Baltimore) in Videos
Submitted by eggs on Tue, 08/12/2008 - 02:49.In what seemed like an endless weekend of music on the east coast with All Points West in New York and the Baltimore edition of Virgin Mobile Festival, people made their decisions and ended up in one city or the other. Those that made their way to Baltimore found themselves surrounded by a headliner assault on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday found both Jack Johnson and the Foo Fighters filling the headlining spots with Wilco, Chuck Berry & The Silver Beats, The Offspring, The Swell Season, Bloc Party, Lupe Fiasco, and many more performing on the two main stages. Sunday's headlining spots were taken by Nine Inch Nails and Kanye West, with big names like Bob Dylan, Stone Temple Pilots, Iggy & The Stooges, Lil' Wayne, The Black Keys, She & Him, and more on the main stages. Virgin Mobile Festival also featured a dance stage, highlighted by sets from Underworld, Moby, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Chromeo, and a ton of other make-yo-ass-shake DJ's. A bunch of kind festival-goers were generous enough to tape some of their experiences to share with the world, and we've rounded up some footage for your viewing pleasure.

MMJ, REM, PJ Request Support from Obama & McCain on Behalf of NOLA
Submitted by cereal on Wed, 08/06/2008 - 15:15.Over 90 musicians and music industry personages have banded together to draw the presidential candidates' attention to New Orleans and the Louisiana coast. My Morning Jacket, R.E.M., Pearl Jam, and Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor are among those who signed a letter calling upon Barack Obama and John McCain to attend a September 18 debate in NOLA. The letter, which was developed by the Gulf Coast Restoration Network and Tab Benoit's Voice of the Wetlands organization, asks that "the future President of the United States direct the resources and attention necessary to restore coastal Louisiana and secure the future of Louisiana's communities." Rapid loss of coastal wetlands and unhealthy water are mentioned as primary causes for concern. Neither candidate has yet committed to the event, which will be sponsored by Google/YouTube and New Orleans universities.

Voodoo Music Experience 2008 Line-Up
Submitted by eggs on Fri, 06/20/2008 - 17:34.
Voodoo Music Experience has become somewhat of a tradition for Breakfast On Tour. As you might know by now, it is where we dreamed up the idea for this little website. It is also a place where we have experienced two years of amazing music. Originally leaning towards more of a rock following, Voodoo has transformed itself into a three day, multi-genre destination featuring many established and up-and-coming bands and artists. Previously announced headliners Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M, and the Stone Temple Pilots are now going to be joined by emo-godfathers Death Cab For Cutie, Denver gypsy-folkers Devotchka, Austin BOT-favorites Ghostland Observatory, and ex-Fugee Wyclef Jean. Taking place in New Orleans, the tenth anniversary of the festival is also set to feature some of the best names in jazz and funk including the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
Get excited people!

The Voodoo Music Experience announced today that 90's rock icons Nine Inch Nails and R.E.M. as well as the recently reunited Stone Temple Pilots are set to headline this year's event. The 2008 edition, taking place October 24-26 in New Orleans' City Park, marks the tenth-ever "Ritual". Staying true to past years, several local bands will be featured at the three-day Halloween-weekend event, including the Neville Brothers first ever appearance.
Voodoo, as you may or may not already know, is where this little blog was all dreamt up. We decided to dress our group up as breakfast, and from there it was on.
Anyway, on to the festival details...
