Lollapalooza 2008 in Videos

We did not make it up north this weekend to catch Lollapalooza, but I at least had the chance to see a bit of Wilco's streaming set at the AT&T Blueroom. Their energy alone showed just how much fun Chicago was having. Now that it is all said and done, after hometown MC Kanye West and industrial rock giants Nine Inch Nails closed down both of the main stages, I pulled together a host of videos that would make any music lover jealous of those in attendance.

ACL 2008 Artist Mash-Up

As reported last week, the 2008 edition of the Austin City Limits music festival is scheduled to release its line-up on the 15th of April. To tide you over until then, the kind folks at C3, who put on the festival, decided to leak a few of the artists (29 to be exact) to the masses. It is not as easy as reading a list though. This year they decided to release a mash-up which features the leaked artists all in one short mp3 file. From what I hear in the mash-up, it is going to be one fun September in Austin!

The Odd Couple vs. Consolers Of The Lonely

Recently the world saw the release of the sophomore efforts from both Gnarls Barkley and The Raconteurs. These super-sized side-projects both have had huge success with their 2006 debuts, and have both been heralded for their live performances. Since these bands have had such similar timelines, I decided to turn their album reviews into a bloody battle for supreme sophomore side-project domination!
