On The Road With... Keller Williams

 Keller Williams @ the Granada

On the afternoon before his February 5th gig in Dallas, Eggs and I were fortunate enough to spend a telephonic half hour talking to one of our favorite artists – Keller freakin’ Williams. The conversation touched on his upcoming releases (new Keels record AND a kids' album!!), the String Cheese reunion, and his thoughts on Furthur… among MANY other topics of interest to Keller fans like us. It was quite a thrill to say the least, and was made even better due to a helluva performance that night in Dallas. We hope you enjoy the interview, and you should sound off in the comments section to assure Keller that he’ll pull big crowds at future Houston shows. Read on after the jump, and stay tuned for a full review of the show.

On The Road With... The Sour Notes: The Last Mile

I should have posted this a couple days ago, as The Sour Notes finished their tour a while ago, but I'm finally getting to it. The final post from the "On The Road" series finds the band leaving New York City, and headed home with stops in Nashville, Fayetteville and the final tour stop in Dallas. This time Eric Morales feeds us the intro, but the closing words belong to frontman Jared Boulanger, as he recaps his time on the road. Thanks to The Sour Notes for being my guinea pigs in the first of (hopefully!) many "On The Road" series to come. You guys provided some excellent coverage over the past few weeks!

Check out The Sour Notes' last mile after the jump.

On The Road With... The Sour Notes: New York City

With only a few days left on the road, The Sour Notes made their most high profile stop at The Cake Shop in New York City. Their short tour served mostly as a warm-up for the NYC show, and by the sounds of it, it went over quite well. Eric Morales, who's been serving somewhat as the bands documentarian, fed us another host of paragraphs about their time in The Big Apple. He also had the time to put together a few video clips of their travels earlier in the tour, mostly on the road from Atlanta to Baltimore.

Check out Eric's words, photos and videos after the jump.

On The Road With... The Sour Notes: Carrboro & Baltimore

As we continue our On The Road series with Austin band, The Sour Notes, we check back in with documentarian Eric Morales. Eric brings us a nice recap of their time spent both on and off the road from Carrboro, NC all the way through their night off in Baltimore, MD. He's quite the writer, and I'm happy to have his words, photos and video here on BOT – check out his On The Road tour diary after the jump.

On The Road With... The Sour Notes: New Orleans & Atlanta

The Sour Notes are now almost a full week into their winter tour, and have made the most out of it. With a day off, the band headed to New Orleans to take part in a bit of debauchery before departing for a show at Atlanta's Drunken Unicorn. Photographer and videographer Eric Morales, who's been on the road with the band documenting every step of the way, decided to send in words about their trip to The Big Easy. For the Atlanta stop, drummer Travis Hackett took a second stab at writing, and gives us a good write-up of their time in the city.

You can check out both blogs, and a bunch of Eric's pictures, after the jump.

On The Road With... The Sour Notes: Austin & Houston

The Sour Notes are already a few days into their tour, with successful performances in Austin and Houston. For some reason, they've taken on a second responsibility, and humbly agreed to send in tour diaries, photos and videos of their time both on the road and off. They've brought videographer and photographer Eric Morales on the road to document their second tour, who has already provided some excellent footage from their stop at Rice University's KTRU Radio earlier before their Houston performance. Drummer Travis Hackett took the first stab at writing, providing commentary on their New Year's Eve performance in Austin at The Ghost Room. Frontman Jared Boulanger gave us the second round of words about their CD Release show in Houston at Rudyard's Pub just down the street from BOT headquarters. You can check out both diary entries, and photos and video from Eric Morales after the jump.
