Phish to headline Bonnaroo?

Phish (minus Page) at Rothbury
I'm not going to be the guy to tell you if this is true or not, and I'm not really one for spreading rumors, but according to Rolling Stone, Phish are set to headline two nights of 2009's Bonnaroo. Say what you want about this, but I'd be more than glad to have them headline the Tennessee festival. I haven't been back to Bonnaroo since its third year, but this might just be enough for me to return. What do you all think?

'Might'?
"this might just be enough for me to return"
Might? Uh, understatement much? If this is confirmed, I'm just going to go ahead and assume that you'll be there.
Duh!
Thinkin we'll all be there with a band of merry folks!
Skeptical
I'm going to remain skeptical on this one until it becomes official. Bonnaroo seems like it has sold a lot of tickets the past 2 years based solely on who is rumored to be there, especially since they are selling tickets before any artist announcements. Bruce Springsteen is the other one rumored to headline this year. Need I remind you of the Led Zeppelin rumors last year? Would be sweet though.
Zeppelin!
I heard they resurrected John Bonham and the OG Zeppelin is playing Rothbury with Phish in the Sherwood the entire time the festival grounds are open over the weekend! Would be sweet though.
Re: Skeptical
Ha- a friend of mine in Dallas got wind of the Phish rumors and already bought her VIP ticket, as did some of her other friends. I'd never really thought about it before, but I'm sure the rumor mill does help Roo sell some tix early on.
I've always been skeptical of the idea of Phish playing any festival except maybe their own next year, but after some further thought, I think maybe this "Roomor" could make at least a little sense. What with the oversaturation of the festival market in the past few years, Roo (and most other festies, for that matter) hasn't experienced a rush on tickets like they did in their earlier years. I'm sure that the folks behind the fest realize that if they manage to land Phish on the bill, tickets would almost certainly sell out. So maybe they offered the band a really attractive deal or something. Idk, I won't really believe it until I see the official announcement, but I'm a little more hopeful at this point.
I'm there
i planned on being at Roo regardless of the lineup, though Phish definitely makes me feel better about doing so. i know Roo has changed a lot, but it will always have a piece of my heart as being the first real festival i ever attended. and it was 06, so Radiohead blew my mind.
hope to see all you breakfast connoisseurs out there!!
Re: I'm there
We're almost definitely going to be there too. Jim is hell-bent on getting me to Roo (and going back himself), so we're def planning on making the trip to Manchester this summer. Will talk more about it in the coming months!
Let's just say it won't be a
Let's just say it won't be a big hassle getting to 'Roo.
