About Breakfast On Tour

Breakfast On Tour was cooked up in the fall of 2007. A group of friends dressed in breakfast-themed costumes while attending the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans, LA. It was there that the idea of developing a music-focused website was born, so naturally the breakfast theme followed.

We are, first and foremost, fans of music - some might say obsessively so. We love seeing live music, and there's nothing we enjoy more than spending four musically saturated days at a festival. Our primary goals are to spread the word about artists that we love and to encourage more people to experience the joys of live music events. We also want to promote musical exploration - don't just listen to what the blogosphere tells you to listen to, get out there and discover new artists yourself! We've stumbled across many of our favorite acts accidentally; there's a wealth of talent out there waiting for you to lend them an ear.

A few BOThead morsels:

We are tasty.

We like to dress in costumes.

We believe that people who deny backstage access to music-lovers clad in breakfast attire should have their heads examined. Who says no to breakfast?!

We enjoy moshing, but only when protected by several layers of puffy goodness.

Random parades featuring shopping carts decorated with Christmas lights hold a special place in our hearts.

We are not fans of M.I.A., because her music is garbage. No matter how many brainwashed Pitchfork-reading hipsters attempt to convince us otherwise.

Come on, Lippy.

Sunny Breakfast

"'When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,' said Piglet at last, 'what's the first thing you say to yourself?'
'What's for breakfast?' said Pooh. 'What do you say, Piglet?'
'I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?' said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully. 'It's the same thing,' he said."
--A.A. Milne, The House at Pooh Corner

"There's music in the sighing of a reed;
There's music in the gushing of a rill;
There's music in all things, if men had ears:
Their earth is but an echo of the spheres."
--Lord Byron
