Houston played host to My Morning Jacket and Yo La Tengo on March 10th, 2008. It was MMJ's first show since finishing up their new album, Evil Urges. It provided the opportunity for MMJ to showcase many of the songs off their upcoming disc.

But, jesus, as a Houstonian and a supporter of live shows, it is maddening how much people talk here during shows! Go to the back!!!

Is this a Houston only phenomenon or do other cities deal with this?

MMJ concert

I thought the concert was amazing, especially the new stuff. It seemed to me like the saxophone in Dondante wasn’t as loud as it should have been. Did anyone else feel that way?

I thought the talking wasn't as bad last night as it has been at other shows I've been to recently. I know what you're saying though - Houston in general does seem to have super-talkative audiences at live music events. Drives me crazy too.
