Merge Music Fest

We'll be bringing you more details as they surface, but as it stands, this looks like a damn good day of music. It's nice to see multi-band, day-long events here in Houston besides the block party and I-fest. It gives us the chance to catch several different Houston acts that we don't get the chance to see throughout the year. There are at least eight more bands yet to be added to the bill, so stay tuned to BOT for all the details.

Why was Buxton taken off the list?

we werent notified of the date being changed in april, it was originally in march. so we had to drop off because we're releasing our 7" pretty close to that date. eggs, did you get my email?
Texas Bands?
Why aren't there hardly any bands from Texas on here? ;) And I surely need to get some of Buxton. You guys keep talkin it up so I must see what all the hype is about! Maybe next time I'm in town, huh?

And Toast - you should come visit in late March when the spring edition of the Westheimer Block Party goes down. That would be an excellent crash course in Houston music. Maybe we'll get lucky and the Jellyphish will have a show around the same time too.

Buxton is already missed by MERGE
We were really hoping to get some Buxton on the fest bill. :(
Actully Booher that will be performing as well at MERGE is the big booking agent for ACL Fest and Emos.
Working with C3 Entertainment. I had mentioned Buxton to him, so I am trying to get them a showcase with The Western Civilization up here at Emos. I swear guys I was going to tell you, it kinda just came up in the last few days.
We appreciate all the support for MERGE.
Can anyone pass the word to BRING BACK THE GUNS, that we'd love them to be a BIG part.

Oooooh...a showcase at Emo's? I'd definitely make the trip to Austin for that.
