Built To Spill @ Warehouse Live

Built To Spill @ Warehouse Live

While I've been running around hitting as many musical events as possible over the past month, I've somewhat fallen behind on posting reviews. A few weeks ago, we were able to catch an opening performance by Boise, Idaho indie-rockers Built To Spill at Houston's Warehouse Live. This was my fourth performance by the influential band – second this year – and I couldn't have been happier. A bit mellower than the last time they played in Houston, this set still proved that Doug Martsch and co. can bring it in the live format. The show was filled with their classic songs, including "You Were Right," "Stab," "Car" and a set-closing version of the ever-popular "Carry The Zero." The crowded Ballroom at Warehouse Live was obviously there to see BtS, as most of them dissipated after their performance had ended. We didn't stick around for headliners Dinosaur Jr. either, but you can get a recap of their Dallas performance by Grits and Hash Browns here.

I brought my camera along to document the performance, so feel free to browse all of my shots after the jump.
