The official line-up for the 2009 edition of Austin City Limits Festival was just announced, bringing a smattering of amazing music to Austin during the first weekend of October. Headliners include Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, The Beastie Boys, Kings of Leon and Sonic Youth. The undercard is magnificent featuring The Dead Weather, The Decemberists, Ghostland Observatory, Bon Iver, The Avett Brothers, Mos Def and so many others I can't even believe would be there.

Oh well

Not that last year's line-up was weak, but I like this one a lot more. I'd love to make it.

In other news...
TOASTMAN! Did you hear about the Local/Regional Campout thing going on May 8th & 9th? I'm too lazy to type it all out, so here's the flyer:

Finally...
This is a breakfast-based website, right? Can you guys tell me if tacos count as breakfast food or not? Thanks.

yes, if...

...it has egg and/or potato in it.

not

pretty decent line-up! i wish the elusive animal collective was making an appearance but i'll definitely settle for ghostland in the weird/electronica category. super stoked about mos def! is he coming out of musical hiding?

equal hoorays for andrew bird, bon iver, dan auerbach, dr. dog, avetts, grizzly bear, heartless ba$tards, michael franti and the walkmen!

no metric or fleet foxes - a little disappointing.

blarg

i have no idea why i typed "not" in the subject line of that last post ... i wish i could blame it on it being a monday, but maybe i'll blame it on the rain instead (<-- lamest joke ever ... but seriously, wtf is up with all this rain!!!!!!!)

also, where is band of horses? single tear.

Thanks for the heads up!

I've been out of the loop for a while and need a little update, so thanks brosif! This shit sounds sick!!! Can't believe I didn't see this was going on. Barring any catastrophic events, I will surely be there. Get up with me and let me know what your plans are. And yes to the tacos. I had leftover deep fried tacos for breakfast yesterday, btw. Booms anywhere???
