Included in our videos from the weekends are performances from White Rabbits, MURS, Passion Pit, Midnite, Delta Spirit on Thursday, Everest, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear and Pretty Lights on Friday, Jimmy Buffett, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, Bon Iver and Wilco on Saturday, and Brett Dennen, Andrew Bird, Okkervil River, Band of Horses and Phish on Sunday.

Bonnaroo 2009

The 2009 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has come and gone, leaving many happy music-loving kids well saturated with their favorite songs and plenty of sun. A rainy start on Thursday found us checking out sets from Alberta Cross, Janelle Monae, White Rabbits, Murs, Chairlift, Passion Pit, Midnite and my favorite set of the day (maybe even the weekend...) from Delta Spirit. Friday was my busiest day, running around to catch Toubab Krewe, Everest, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Al Green, TV on the Radio, Beastie Boys, Phish, Paul Oakenfold, Girl Talk and Pretty Lights. Saturday continued with performances from Jimmy Buffett, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, Bon Iver, Of Montreal, Wilco, Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band, Yeasayer, Nine Inch Nails and moe. Finally, Bonnaroo concluded with a busy Sunday that featured shows by Brett Dennen, Andrew Bird, Okkervil River, Merle Haggard, Band of Horses and the perfect closing set by Phish that featured a choice guest spot by Saturday headliner Bruce Springsteen.

We brought the camera along to take some pictures, but unfortunately weren't sporting a photo pass, so no band shots. Our new friend Andy Keil was there shooting for our old friends Consequence of Sound, so check out his band shots on his Flickr page.

Phish Tour Thoughts: Knoxville

I am now right in between Phish summer and fall tours, and I've been starting to reflect on the six shows I already have seen (Knoxville, Bonnaroo x2, Deer Creek, Alpine Valley x2), and looking forward to the four I have coming up (Red Rocks, Gorge x2, Chicago). I haven't talked at all about those six shows because I needed time to realize what exactly they meant to me. I've never done anything more that two shows in a row, so hopping on tour with the Vermont quartet was quite the treat for an aging concert goer like myself. I even brought my Parents along for the big Father's Day tour ender at Alpine Valley – something I never thought I'd experience. First up is was our opener at the Thompson Boiling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 10, 2009.
