Yesterday - Friday, August 8th - finally brought a true-blue music festival to the New York area. After years of trying by many different groups to host a festival near NYC (we all remember the ill-fated Bonnaroo NE), the folks at Goldenvoice (Coachella) and AEG Live (Rothbury, Mile High) finally found the right spot, and, by the looks of it, haven't created a complete disaster. Radiohead was friday's big ticket at the All Points West festival, bringing out a host of NY's finest hipsters to gather at the massive Liberty State Park in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty. While waiting for Radiohead, they were treated to a bunch of other great bands and musicians including Andrew Bird, Grizzly Bear, Girl Tak, Underworld and CSS. We're not in NYC for this event, but plenty of people are, so we'll let you read their coverage. Also, people have been posting some brilliant videos from the event, including pretty much every Radiohead song performed.
